Paola Caselli new member of the Excellence Cluster Universe
Prof. Dr. Paola Caselli is as Principal Investigator new member of the Excellence Cluster Universe. Since 1 April 2014, the astrophysicist is a new director at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE). After working at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the University of California at Berkeley, at Harvard University and at the Osservatorio di Arcetri Astrofisico (INAF), she was a member of the astrophysics group at the University of Leeds. Her research interests are astrochemistry, galactic and extragalactic stars and planets, molecular astrophysics and astrobiology.
On 6 November 2014 at 7 pm, Paola Caselli will give a public lecture at the Deutsches Museum on occasion of completing the work updating the exhibition "Evolution of the Universe". The exhibition at the Deutsches Museum was initiated, established and funded by the Excellence Cluster Universe together with the MPE as well as the Max Planck Institutes for Astrophysics (MPA) and Physics (MPP) and the European Southern Observatory (ESO).
